Benefits: People

When it comes to the benefits for reusable products, one of the best is that you no longer have to put harsh chemicals and bleach into your body. If you're like me, you may even experience a shortened period with a lighter flow. Whatever your experience, you're sure to find one or more of these benefits as you make the switch to reusable feminine hygiene.

People

Women benefit from access to sustainable menstrual hygiene. One of the most mentioned things in my interviews with other women is that they don't worry about running out of products or having to always carry them around. Having one item that they can count on frees up their minds and the space in their bags to have less clutter-in thoughts and in things to always have on hand.

But did you know there are also many health related benefits of these products? It doesn't take a doctor's knowledge about bleaches, fragrances, and synthetic materials designed for absorption to know that these things just don't belong in our bodies. Menstrual cups remove the risk of these synthetics and also tackle another issue-infections. You are less likely to develop any kind of infection using a menstrual cup than you are a tampon. And cups are safe. Any concerns you may have about the safety of these products can now be put to rest. They are completely safe to use, as long as you carefully follow the instructions provided with the product, and practice good sanitation at all times.

In short-the people sector (women) of the sustainability triad are benefitted by the cup!
