Kaela's Testimony

Kaela uses both the menstrual cup and period panties and has nothing but good things to say. She uses the brand Bambody panties, and they are made of cotton, bamboo and spandex. One of the benefits of the period panties is that they are black, so besides being absorbent and leak resistant, they do not show stains. Kaela says that she feels as though they hold as much liquid as a disposable pad but does not recommend them for a heavier flow, but instead for spotting or lighter flows. They are perfectly secure for sleeping and Kaela has never experienced leaking. She can wash them with her other laundry with no damage or staining to her other clothes. As someone who does not like the feeling of a disposable pad, she is very happy with the period panties because she does not get that same feeling. One of her favorite benefits of the period panties is that there is no risk of Toxic Shock Syndrome, or TSS.

Kaela also uses the menstrual cup, and after learning how to use it correctly does not foresee herself ever going back to tampons. After an adjustment, she says that she was able to use it all day and even forgets it is there because it is so comfortable. She says the most difficult learning curve was for insertion and removal like most women learning to use the cup. One thing she has learned is that using a small piece of toilet paper helps to maintain a better grip for removal.
